Titled Swedish champion in 2021 in a 2150cc category bringing together more than fifty riders, Klara Andersson made her World RX debut in 2022 in the colors of the CE Dealer Team alongside Niclas Grönholm.
Having also competed in the Extreme E ranks with ABT/Cupra and Sun Minimeal, the 25-year-old Swedish driver has been able to work alongside select teammates such as Nasser Al-Attiyah and Sébastien Loeb.
After three podiums in World RX and a pole position obtained at Höljes in 2024, Klara Andersson has chosen to join forces with the PGRX structure to compete in the Lohéac round, in which she will find the Hyundai i20 usually driven by Juha Rytkönen in the FIA World Championship ranks.
« I've always dreamed of being able to participate in this Lohéac race. I had already been there in 2017 when my sister (Magda Andersson, the only woman in history to have become FIA European Vice-Champion of Rallycross. Editor’s note) was racing for Marklund Motorsport, and I quickly realized how unique the enthusiasm and passion of the fans was. Also last year, I had the opportunity to return to Lohéac to follow the progress of my teammate in the World Rallycross Championship, Niclas Grönholm, and this only strengthened my determination to line up for this event. It's a great opportunity, but above all a unique experience since I have never driven a real Supercar like the Hyundai i20 before. »
« From handling the sequential gearbox, the feeling behind the wheel of the car to managing the starts, I have a lot of new things to learn, but it's a challenge that remains very exciting in my eyes, adds the Swedish pilot. The team Above all, PGRX has given me a very warm welcome. The atmosphere there is truly very positive. The goal of this Lohéac weekend will be to acclimatize myself as quickly as possible to this Hyundai i20, to progress, and why not achieve a good result. It's a real challenge for me, but I'm determined to give the best of myself. »
