Rain hit the Lohéac circuit late this afternoon, complicating the strategy regarding tire choice. It also reshuffled the cards, as the fastest Supercar drivers in Q1 started Q2 in downpours.
Starting on a dry track, German René Münnich (Ibiza RX) was the fastest in Q2. The Seat driver finished ahead of Romuald Delaunay (Clio RX), who was taking part in his second race of the season with a car he is still learning. Laurent Le Manac'h (DS 3 RX) put in a strong performance, finishing on the podium in Q2.
Supercar leader after Q1, Andrea Bakkerud "settled" for 10th place in Q2. The Norwegian nevertheless maintains the lead in the intermediate classification ahead of Q3 and Q4 scheduled for tomorrow.
Valentin Lumet (Fabia) dominated Q2 with a lead of over 2,8 seconds over his pursuers. David Moulin (Audi A1) took second place, just 4 seconds ahead of Xavier Allereau (Fabia).
Hugo Jouan (Clio 5 RX) was the fastest of the juniors. Second ahead of Thomas Quincé (Clio 5 RX), Dylan Léger leads the provisional standings.
Mélanie Seignard (Twingo R1 RX) took advantage of the 15-second penalty imposed on Alice Margely (Twingo R1 RX) to win Q2 ahead of Ilona Bertapelle (Twingo R1 RX) and Maéva Caradeux (Twingo R1 RX).
Already the winner of Q1, Christophe Saunois (Audi S1) continued his momentum and scored maximum points in Q2. Thomas Fretin (Yaris) and Nicolas Beauclé (Mercedes Benz Class A) are the only drivers to ride within the same second as the leader of Division 3.
Yann Le Lay (208) stood out in a very eventful Q2! He set the fastest time and took the lead in Division 4. Maxime Morin (208) and Ivan Bedouet (207) completed the podium in this Q2.
