Sad news reaching us from Lydden Hill. The structure of Special One Racing Team was indeed affected by a fire while it was preparing the 4e round of the 2023 World RX season.
Many images quickly made the rounds on social networks. Present on site, driver Andreas Bakkerud even confirmed that the two Lancia Delta Evo-Es, entered for Sébastien Loeb and Guerlain Chicherit, did not escape the flames.

For its part, World RX assured that rescue teams were dispatched to the site to control the fire. Please note that no injuries have been reported and the origin of the incident remains unknown.

Concerning the athlete, Special One Racing Team will logically not participate in this round after the terrible tragedy. It remains to be seen whether the French team will be able to rebuild two new cars for the rest of the season, but the task already promises to be difficult.
