Samuel Peu takes control of the Châteauroux Rallycross

Reigning French Supercar Champion, Samuel Peu (Peugeot 208 Supercar) won the first two qualifying rounds and logically occupies the lead in the provisional standings.

“I played two good rounds, rejoices Samuel Peu. I took advantage of my pole position in Q2 to take the lead after the first corner. My team worked a lot on the 208. The track is gaining more and more grip and the times are falling! Things are going very strong in the Top 5, we must not relax tomorrow. »

Engaged for a full program this season with the DS 3 Supercar of DA Racing, Romuald Delaunay confirmed his outsider status by settling into second place in the provisional ranking. David Meslier (DS 3 Supercar) completes the provisional podium for this first day.

Aligned in a Skoda Fabia Super1600, Anthony Paillardon (Peugeot 208) affirmed his ambitions for victory by dominating the two qualifying rounds. Fourth in Q1, then second in Q2, David Moulin (Dacia Sandero Super1600) relied on consistency to take provisional second place. The 2019 French Vice-champion is ahead of Nicolas Eouzan on the Renault Twingo 2 Super1600.

Already present in rally and on the circuit, the Clio RSR Rally5, in its RX version, made its debut in Rallycross, as part of the French Junior Championship. Back in the discipline, David Bouet moved to the top of the provisional ranking ahead of Arthur Le Boudouil and Kévin Portal.

Favorite to win the Coupe de France Division 3, Benoît Morel (Ford Fiesta T3F) scored the maximum number of points before returning to the pits behind the tow truck at the end of Q2. New to the discipline, Anthony Pelfrene (Renault Clio T3F) made a remarkable entry by climbing to second place on this first day ahead of Nicolas Beauclé (Mercedes Class A T3F).

Anthony Mauduit (Renault Clio) dominated the first games in the Coupe de France Division 4. Jean-François Blaise (Renault Clio 4) and Sébastien Le Ferrand (Peugeot 208) followed in Mauduit's wake.

This resumption at Châteauroux also marks the return of the French Women's Rallycross Cup with the Renault Twingo R1s. With her victory in Q2, Camille Barbe took the provisional lead ahead of Marine Danveau and Alizée Pottier.
