Tuesday March 15th
A press release has been sent regarding a request to convene an extraordinary general meeting, the full content of which is as follows:
"A large majority of members (31 out of 42) of the General Assembly of the FFSA (FRENCH FEDERATION OF MOTOR SPORT), fully committed to the good governance and stability of their Federation, announce that they have today submitted a request to convene an Extraordinary General Assembly in order to dismiss the Steering Committee and the President of their Federation.
This Extraordinary General Meeting will be held on March 24, 2026 at the FFSA headquarters.
Furthermore, proceedings are being considered against President Pierre Gosselin for breach of trust and embezzlement, among other charges.
Wednesday March 4, 2026
The president of the FFSA, Pierre Gosselin, made the following statement (contained in its entirety):
"This morning, Wednesday, March 4, 2026, I urgently convened the steering committee of the French Federation of Motor Sport to explain to them the seriousness of the ethical and legal situation in which our federation finds itself and the urgency of taking concrete measures.
Since my election on October 9, 2024, I have gradually realized that the FFSA's governing bodies are unnecessarily complex, opaque, and sometimes contrary to its interests. After consulting with lawyers and our supervisory ministry, I am certain that I have inherited an opaque and illegal governance system that threatens both our ministerial accreditation and our integrity.
I don't know what the architects of this system intended to conceal, but I am compelled to acknowledge that this governance model creates gray areas, decisions, and financial flows that urgently require clarification from the Federation and the State. Risks of de facto management, conflicts of interest, and undue advantages weigh heavily on our past administration.
Following this morning's steering committee meeting, I therefore make a personal commitment to bring the Federation into compliance with the law and ethics, to do everything possible to preserve our accreditation and to shed light on all the ethical or financial grey areas that this system may have created.
Restoring order and integrity to the FFSA will inevitably require decisive action in the coming weeks to:
– The disappearance of satellite and undemocratic bodies
– A necessary statutory cleanup operation to bring the federation back into compliance with the law
– Analysis of the actions, financial flows and acquired benefits granted by or for illegitimate entities
– Finally, the publication of the statutes, regulations and decisions of the FFSA today
As president, I have contacted the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Community Life to request that an investigation by the General Inspectorate of Education, Sport and Research be carried out as quickly as possible regarding past actions, flows and compliance with the framework of the public service delegation.
In the same vein, I have filed a criminal complaint for suspicious actions by former leaders who are responsible for this opacity and who benefit from advantages and positions that raise questions and about which it will be useful for the General Assembly to be informed.
Finally, my commitment to the integrity and legality of the FFSA is clearly not to the liking of all my predecessors, and I find myself obliged today to file a complaint against Jacques Régis for threats, intimidation, slanderous denunciation, and defamation.
Wednesday evening
In response to Pierre Gosselin's statement, members of the FFSA General Assembly issued the following press release, which is reproduced in full below:
"Response from the members of the FFSA General Assembly to the statement by Mr. Pierre Gosselin"
Paris, the 5 March 2026
The members of the General Assembly of the French Federation of Motor Sport, representing more than 70% of the votes, wish to provide a collective, factual and documented response to the statement made public by Mr. Pierre Gosselin.
1. A press release issued in a specific context:
The members of the General Assembly are surprised by the timing of this speech, which took place the day after the convening of an extraordinary General Assembly to dismiss the President and the Steering Committee, at the initiative of more than 70% of this assembly, and after Mr. Gosselin was outvoted within the Steering Committee at the meeting of March 4, 2026.
This factual context cannot be ignored and raises questions about the real purpose of this public communication, which appears to be a futile attempt at media counter-fire.
2. On probity and ethics:
At the General Assembly on November 26, 2025, members overwhelmingly rejected the resolution (676 votes against, 0 for) presented by President Gosselin concerning his remuneration. This remuneration had already been received without authorization for the period from January 1 to June 24, 2025. To date, no reimbursement has been made, placing Mr. Gosselin in a clear state of illegality.
Furthermore, an important warning was sent to Mr. Gosselin concerning undeclared benefits in kind, which could characterize self-interested management, with serious legal, tax and social consequences for the Federation.
3. On the statutes and governance:
The current statutes were drafted during Mr. Gosselin's tenure as Secretary General, at his request, for implementation upon his assumption of the presidency on July 1, 2024 (and not October 9, 2024, as stated in the press release). Members are therefore surprised by Mr. Gosselin's sudden awareness of the statutes, unless one considers that, as on other matters, he is asserting a blatant falsehood. Mr. Gosselin also served as League President until after his election and has been a member of the Executive Committee for several years.
It is further noted that the statutes adopted and applied under the mandates of his predecessors have never been the subject of any remark, observation or formal notice from the Ministry in charge of Sports, which can confirm these elements.
4. On legal proceedings: The members who signed the request for revocation have decided to file a collective complaint against Mr. Pierre Gosselin, notably for breach of trust, embezzlement and slanderous denunciation.
******
The group of members of the general assembly intends to fully exercise its prerogatives in accordance with the statutes, the law, and ethics, and refuses to allow unfounded accusations to mask serious, specific, and documented misconduct by Mr. Gosselin.
What is the FFSA?
Founded in 1952, the French Federation of Motorsport is one of the National Sporting Associations of the International Automobile Federation. Its mission is to regulate, organize and promote the practice of motorsport and... karting. Public service missions which they carry out by delegation from the Ministry of Sports, Youth and Community Life.

When I read his interview in a recent Auto Hedo magazine, this gentleman dared to say: the days of winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans with 3 buddies are over (what a lack of respect!).

For many years the FFSA has been in turmoil with its successive presidents. It's exactly like our elected officials in government, not one of them can replace the other 😡😡😡
