This is news that should shake up the French Rally Championship scene. Having been involved with the Korean team for several seasons, 2C Compétition has just announced the end of a fruitful collaboration with Hyundai Motorsport was marked by 9 victories in the French Asphalt and Gravel Rally Championship, achieved by Eric Camilli, Nicolas Ciamin, and Laurent Pellier, including 4 in the 2025 season alone, and 25 podium finishes in total with the three drivers. Camilli was notably in charge of the development of the Hyundai i20N Rally2 Step 2 and, in addition to having participated in the last two full seasons of the French Asphalt Rally Championship, also participated in the Rally Monte Carlo under the Auvergne structure last January. "With many changes coming at the global level and the lack of real visibility from our main partner, the entire 2C Compétition team must now work to finalize new projects," the team stated this evening in a clear press release, thus confirming that new perspectives are opening up for the Team led by the Combronde family, while specifying that "2026 will be written elsewhere."
A masterful 2025 season
This season, the synergy between 2C Compétition, Hyundai Motorsport, Eric Camilli, and his two co-drivers, Thibault de la Haye and Maxime Vilmot, seemed to work perfectly. The 2025 French Rally Championship runner-up, Eric Camilli, raised his game throughout the season and consistently praised the work of his team and manufacturer. With four victories in the second half of the season, making this group the most prolific in the French Rally Championship since last summer, 2C Compétition, Hyundai Motorsport, and Eric Camilli were truly the only ones able to challenge Yoann Bonato and Trajectus Motorsport. "It's a magnificent, albeit frustrating, result that motivates the entire 2C Compétition team," the team stated in its press release, as the title could indeed have been within their grasp were it not for a few incidents during the race.

It's a real shame, he could have been in contention for the title next year.
