Anthony Cosson and Kevin Millet win the Mâcon Wine Rally

With this second victory of 2026, Anthony Cosson and Kévin Millet are now just 26 points behind the provisional championship leaders. While the two drivers did make a small mistake during the race, they were dominant in securing a win that should prove crucial in the CFR 2nd Division standings.

Second rally of the year and second victory for Tony Cosson and Kévin Millet, who doubled their tally after their win in Dieppe. Indeed, Mâcon hosted the continuation of the French Rally Championship 2nd Division last weekend: 123 crews entered the Modern event and 44 the historic race, bringing the total number of competitors to 167. The early leaders of the Modern event were Denis Millet and Guillaume Duval (Volkswagen Polo R5 GTi), notably after a small mistake by Tony Cosson and Kévin Millet (Porsche (992 GT+) in SS4, which cost them over 30 seconds and dropped them to 4th place. In this context, victory seemed logically out of reach, but they still managed to climb back to 3rd position in the provisional standings at the end of the first leg, just 22,4 seconds behind Millet and Duval. Then came the second leg of the rally: with five fastest times in six stages, Tony Cosson and Kévin Millet delivered a flawless performance.

Cosson and Millet reign supreme at the Mâcon Wine Rally, while the Baillière family triumphs in the Historic Vehicle category.

Indeed, thanks to these performances, the two men finally took the lead in the rally in SS10, then increased their advantage to 16 seconds over their closest rivals, Denis Millet and Guillaume Duval. The final podium position was fiercely contested, and it was ultimately local driver Luc Giroux, co-driven by Julien Loup (Citroën C3 Rally2), who finished third, 8,2 seconds ahead of Medhi Oddoux and Valentin Augé (Porsche 992 GT+), who set the fastest time in SS4. Jordan Berfa and Benjamin Gary (Hyundai The i20N R5, still leading the championship after this event, finished 7th in Mâcon. In the Historic Rally Championship (VHC), the overall victory went to Maxime and Christelle Baillière (Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.0) ahead of Marc Valliccioni – Clio Chambeland (BMW M3 E30) and Dimitri and Patrick Audet (BMW M3 E30). The French Rally Championship 2nd Division will continue in early July in Hautmont (59) for the Charlemagne Golden Palace Rally, while the French Historic Rally Championship will have to wait until August 22nd and 23rd for the Autun – La Châtaigne Rally.
