In their second appearance in the French Rally Championship at the wheel of the Citroën C3 Rally2, Benjamin and Florence Stirling gained valuable experience. Tenth at Le Touquet, they took seventh place at Rhône-Charbonnières and are continuing, slowly but surely, their learning curve in the top category. "The assessment upon arrival of this rally "It's still a mixed bag.", noted the winner of the SMRC4 2025 at the arrival of the Rhône-Charbonnières Rally. "Things went well on the first day, but we had a bit more of a tough time on Saturday; these things happen and they allow us to learn and continue to progress."It is true that Benjamin and Florence Stirling had only participated in the rally once, in 2019, with their former Peugeot 207 RC R3T, a radically different car from the C3 Rally2 they inherited after winning the promotion formula dear to the Stellantis Motorsport teams last year.
Benjamin Stirling aware of the work that still remained to be done
After competing in two rallies as an official Citroën Racing crew, Benjamin and Florence Stirling know what to focus their work on in the coming weeks. “The car is demanding, and the level of the guys at the front is also demanding. We can't let up, we have to keep working, but when you think you've done a good job, you realize you have to work even harder to get closer to them. All of this pushes us to improve, and I'm certain we'll have reached a very high level by the end of the season if we continue like this.”, projected the winner of the 2023 Clio Trophy France. With, already, a concrete objective: “It would be really great to achieve a good result at the Vosges Grand Est Rally, close to home. From there, we know we’ll have to show some good things every race weekend to give ourselves the best possible chance of continuing in this category.”They will meet again, before heading to Gerardmer, in Antibes next month for the 3rd round of the season.
