As we know, the French Gravel Rally Championship is about to begin with the Rally Castine Terre d'Occitanie, scheduled for March 07th and 08th. The entry list is expected this Friday morning, and in the meantime, some competitors are taking the opportunity to unveil their plans before this deadline. This is precisely the case for Cédric Rabasse, one of the leading figures in the CFRT (French Rally Championship). Having made his debut at the end of last season with a brand new Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, the Jura-based driver will be present for the entire season with his Czech car, his wife Sabrina as co-driver, and the AMD Motorsport team, from whom Cédric Rabasse acquired the car. A regular in the discipline, he is therefore continuing his adventure in the 2026 season, adding to a strong field. Because before setting his sights on this new car, Cédric Rabasse had already had the opportunity to crisscross the championship since 2022 with a first generation Škoda Fabia R5.
Cédric Rabasse is changing dimensions with this new car
Often finishing in the Top 10, and fifth in the 2023 Rallye Terre de Lozère, his best result, Rabasse has become a key figure in the French Gravel Rally Championship over the seasons. At AMD Motorsport, Cédric Rabasse will benefit from the presence of Mathieu Franceschi as his coach, as well as Emmanuel Gascou, the season's favorite, and other potential drivers who could join the team as the season progresses. Everything suggests that the former host of the Volant competition will be a force to be reckoned with. Peugeot He will have an ideal environment around him to progress. Also of note is the absence this season of one of Cédric Rabasse's rivals, Mickaël Prévalet from Doubs, who also competed in the 2025 class with a Fabia R5. Cédric and Sabrina Rabasse will be present at Castine next week.
