This is very important information regarding the French Gravel Rally Championship, which is scheduled to begin on March 07th and 08th on the Rally Castine Terre d'Occitanie. This Thursday evening, just hours before the release of the entry list for the first round of the season, Florent Todeschini announced his return to the French Gravel Rally Championship (CFRT). The Marseille-based driver, runner-up in the 2022 and 2023 French Gravel Rally Championship, hasn't competed on this surface since 2024, when he completed a partial season, securing a victory (Terre des Causses) and another podium finish (Terre d'Aleria). Winner of two CFRT events, including the 2023 Rallye Terre des Cardabelles and the aforementioned event, Florent Todeschini adds even more excitement to the 2026 French Gravel Rally Championship season.
Back to the future for Florent Todeschini
You don't change a winning team. As in 2024, Florent Todeschini will be driving a Citroën C3 Rally2 under the CHL Sport Auto banner. The former Rallye Jeunes winner (2018) will also be partnered with Florian Barral as co-driver, at least for the first three rounds of the season, and will be supported, as in recent years, by Yacco. The 2021 French Junior Rally Champion's last competitive appearance in France dates back to the 2024 season, where, after a few gravel rallies, he came to compete against the frontrunners in the French Asphalt Rally Championship. Since then, he has only participated in one event, the Andorra Historic Rally last year, finishing third in a Ford Sierra Cosworth. Todeschini will therefore need some time to get back into the swing of things, but once he does, there's no doubt he will be one of the key players in the 2026 CFRT.
