While all eyes have been on the first news from the French Gravel Rally Championship in recent days, news from its asphalt counterparts will also begin to trickle in. Among them is information concerning the winner of the 2025 Michelin Amateur Trophy, Julien Casale: the young man, competing this weekend in the Rally Julien Casale, from the Côtes du Tarn Rally, will take the opportunity to drive a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 for the first time, the very same car he will be using in the Rallye Le Touquet – Pas de Calais, a rally "gifted" by the Clermont-Ferrand-based manufacturer. He will compete for the Meca Fontanilles team, alongside his co-driver Pierre Delorme, and doesn't intend to stop there. Like Styve Juif before him, Casale plans to compete in Rally2 this season in the French Rally Championship (CFR) and will therefore use this sponsorship to add several rounds to his program. Needless to say, Casale will be using Michelin Motorsport tires at both the Côtes du Tarn and Le Touquet Rallyes.
Julien Casale is betting everything on Le Touquet
He has been very comfortable on the Rallye Le Touquet – Pas de Calais in the past, notably last year when he won the Michelin Amateur Trophy round in his Peugeot Driving a 208 Rally4, the 30-year-old driver will soon be enjoying his prize money for winning the Michelin Amateur Trophy: an all-expenses-paid French Championship rally in a Rally2 class car. The objective is clear: to capitalize on these two upcoming events, the Côtes du Tarn and Le Touquet, to make a strong impression, showcase their capabilities, and try to secure enough funding to compete in other events this season with this car. AUTOhebdo will be there alongside Julien Casale at the Rallye Le Touquet – Pas de Calais, so you can experience this weekend firsthand—a weekend that's sure to be one he'll never forget!
