The main piece of information from this presentation concerns the tire manufacturer chosen by the crew, who will be using Michelin tires and will also be supported by the Clermont-Ferrand-based company. Quentin Ribaud has already competed in four-wheel drive, but he had never before undertaken a similar project in such a vehicle. As a reminder, he won the Clio Trophy France Gravel and the 2WD Gravel Championship in 2021.

Quentin Ribaud had made Rally2 his main objective for the 2026 season. Last year, he was already rumored to be close to committing to a full CFRT program with Hyundai, but unfortunately, that fell through. Subsequently, he competed with Fun Meca Sport in the French Rally Championship, specifically in the Michelin Amateur Trophy: he had to concede victory to Julien Casale who, as announced earlier this Friday, will participate in the Rallye Le Touquet – Pas de Calais in a top-category car.
