Following the announcement of her move to 2C Compétition for the 2026 French Gravel Rally Championship, Sarah Rumeau unveiled this morning the livery of her Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, the car she will drive this year and in which she will once again share the car with her co-driver Julie Amblard. As she recently told us in an interview, the blue of Igol, her new title partner, is now combined with the pink of Iron Dames, since the project led by Deborah Mayer continues despite the difficulties encountered in recent months, and Sarah Rumeau remains one of its ambassadors. Sarah Rumeau and Julie Amblard will therefore be the only ones to sport these colors in the world of rallying. rally and are aiming for podium finishes and perhaps even victories in the CFRT this year. Last year, competing under the Sarrazin World Rally Team structure, they participated in both French Rally Championships as well as WRC2.
Sarah Rumeau rises from the ashes in 2026
“Everything could have ended at the end of 2025, everyone is aware of that,” she told us during our exclusive interview, which you can find on our YouTube channel. At 30 years old, Sarah Rumeau has indeed had to work incredibly hard lately to find solutions that would allow her to continue a career that began in 2021 and has already garnered her three French Rally Championship titles. Her move to the top category in 2024 hasn't been without its challenges, from a sluggish Ford Fiesta Rally2 she drove in 2024 to a Citroën C3 Rally2 which, unfortunately, proved temperamental at times last year. Focused on her program of seven races, the first of which will take place on March 07 and 08 in the Lot (Rallye Castine Terre d'Occitanie), Sarah Rumeau is therefore at the start of this 2026 season as a legitimate candidate for some top performances despite a very high quality field.
