Just over a month before the start of its season, the 2026 Clio Trophy France Gravel series was unveiled a few days ago. Usually held over 5 to 6 rounds in recent seasons, the 2026 edition will consist of 3 rallies. The first round of the season will take place as part of the Rally Castine Terre d'Occitanie, in the Lot department, from March 6th to 8th. This will mark the return of the Clio Trophy France Terre to this event, which hasn't been hosted since 2024. The season will then continue in early April with the Rallye Terre des Causses, in Aveyron, near Capdenac-Gare on April 4th and 5th, 2026. The championship will conclude in the autumn with the Rallye Terre des Cardabelles, in Millau, on October 10th and 11th. This more compact, intense, and accessible format was chosen by the teams involved.Alpine Racing, in charge of its proper functioning.
A sporting success that no longer needs to be demonstrated
The Clio Trophy France, both on gravel and tarmac, has in recent years brought out some very talented drivers. Renault The Clio RC5, used in these two competitions, is now a sure bet, a best-seller for teams.Alpine Racing, who will continue to develop it despite the arrival of a production Renault Clio 6 on the market for several months. Last year, Mika Rasoamaromaka and Lucas Zielinski distinguished themselves by winning the official drive thanks to their respective successes on gravel and tarmac. Alpine Racing as the best juniors in both championships. This is also the appeal of this competition, since a factory driver contract awaits the junior winners. Arthur Pelamourgues, Tom Pellerey, Anthony Fotia, and Benjamin Stirling are among the impressive list of winners of the competition. Entries are already open for the championship as well as for one of the individual races, as crews will again have the option of choosing only one or the other race to participate in.
