While the championship recently concluded in Croatia with the title for Poland's Mikolaj Marczyk, it is now possible to mark the next dates on the 2026 calendar. After a quick scan of the event names, one thing is clear: it's classic. The unbalanced distribution between tarmac and gravel introduced this year has been retained, with asphalt once again being favored with 5 races versus 3.
The upcoming calendar does not feature any new destinations. With its fast special stages, Hungary returns to its position at the start of the season, with a late date to give competitors time to finalize their programs. After this trip to Veszprém, the crews will continue with the Sierra Morena in Spain, which debuted this year. rally from Sweden to Karlstad (this time from Friday to Sunday instead of Thursday to Saturday) and finally the Italian leg in Rome. For this 10e and final appearance at this level before joining the WRC In 2027, the organizers intend to offer a completely new course with a view to welcoming the elite a few months later.
The sequel will feature one of the few changes planned for 2026 with a Rally Poland on asphalt in Katowice in the south of the country and no longer on gravel in the north as has often been the case.
Acting as a pillar, the Barum which belongs to theERC since 1984 will be scheduled during the summer, just before Ceredigion in Wales where the landscapes promise to be superb again. The finale of this season will take place in Portugal on gravel around Fafe during a rally that adopts a new name, but which will offer already very well-known sections. As usual, this calendar will have to be validated by the next FIA World Council.
