A change of plans and objectives for Pierre Ragues. After competing in the French Gravel Rally Championship for the past three seasons and contributing to the 2C Yacco RS team's Teams title last year, the Normandy-based driver, who also serves as President of the Normandy Motorsport League, is heading to the European Rally Championship for the 2026 season. He is the recent winner of the Rally A native of Marquenterre, Pierre Ragues isn't finished with France yet, as he'll be competing this weekend in the Rallye de la Côte Fleurie, on his home turf, before heading to Le Touquet for the first round of the French Rally Championship. He'll then venture abroad for a hoped-for five-round program including the Rally Sierra Morena (Spain), the Royal Rally of Scandinavia (Sweden), the Rally di Roma Capitale (Italy), the Rali Ceredigion (Wales), and the Rally Five Cities North of Portugal.
Pierre Ragues is returning to international football
This won't be the first time Pierre Ragues has competed outside of France. Not to mention his first career on the circuit, which notably led him to the title. ELMS in 2013 and two podium finishes in LMP2 at 24 Hours of Le MansThe Caen native had also won the FIA R-GT World Cup in 2021 aboard a Alpine A110 Rally. During this season, he notably participated in the event organized near Rome, which he already knows, and which he will rediscover this year. It's worth noting that the event will be part of the... WRC next year, in place of the Rally of Sardinia, which will switch to ERCFor this new season, Pierre Ragues will once again be driving his Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 alongside his long-time co-driver Julien Pesenti. As a side note, 2026 marks the 11th anniversary of the start of their partnership.
