Matthieu Margaillan (Fabia RS Rally2-AMD Motorsport) confirmed his ambitions and quickly took the lead of the rally.
Laurent Pellier (i20 N Rally2-Team Bonneton HDG – 2C) quickly responded by distinguishing himself in the first passage of the legendary special stage “Le Camp”. Installed in the lead; Pellier chained 4 consecutive scratch stages before seeing Margaillan gain 3 seconds in the last special stage of the day.
With a 4,2 second lead to Pellier, the 53,6 kilometres of the final stage will have to be negotiated perfectly to reach the top step of the podium.
Benjamin Clémençon (Polo GTI R5-Sarrazin Motorsport Iron Lynx), Emmanuel Gacsou (Fabia Rally2 evo-AMD Motorsport) and Pierre Ragues (Racing Services-Yacco) will fight for the third step of the podium.
