Laurent Pellier (i20 N Rally2-Team Bonneton HDG – 2C) had a 4,2 second lead over Matthieu Margaillan (Fabia RS Rally2-AMD Motorsport) at the start of this final stage.
Margaillan took back the lead from SS7. Pellier kept up the pressure and was only 1,1 seconds behind at the start of the last special. The driver Hyundai gave their all, but Margaillan was the fastest.
The AMD Motorsport driver won the 40th Rally Terre des Cardabelles and won her first French Champion title. Mathilde Margaillan also pocketed the French Rally Champion title on Terre Copilote.
Emmanuel Gascou (Fabia Rally2 evo-AMD Motorsport) took advantage of the retirement of Benjamin Clémençon (Polo GTI R5-Sarrazin Motorsport Iron Lynx) in the last special to climb onto the third step of the podium.
