He was clearly eager for revenge after the 2025 French Cup Final didn't go as planned, and he got it. Eric Brunson and Cédric Mondon emerged victorious last night after an exciting battle with Pierre Ragues and Julien Pesenti, who earlier this week officially announced their plans to compete in the European Rally Championship this season. Third place went to local driver Anthony Langlois, co-driven for the occasion by his partner Margot Pottier, who continues his impressive development in the Rally2 class, having traded in his venerable Mitsubishi after the Lisieux Final for a new car. Hyundai First-generation i20 R5s. Laurent Bayard and Adrien Julien, in that order, complete the top five. Further down the order, in eighth place, we also see Arthur Roché and Quentin Proust, winners of Group F-RC4.

Côte Fleurie Rally: Knapick's misfortunes

One of the events of this rally Knapick was present in his Citroën C3 Rally2. Starting the event with his daughter Marie-Laure Lemonnier in the co-driver's seat, he was celebrating his 60 years of competition, and to mark the occasion, the organizers had given him the number 1 on the doors of his car. Unfortunately, a retirement due to mechanical problems in the eighth special stage brought his weekend to an end. The same fate befell Olivier Ural and Andy Malfoy in Thibault Habouzit's Škoda Fabia RS Rally2, who were also forced to retire for the same reasons at the same stage of the rally. They were then in fourth place overall. It won't be long before the Normandy rally drivers are back in action, as the next event on their calendar takes place next week at the Rallye du Pays de Caux in Lillebonne (76).
