With a 1,3 second gap between Laurent Pellier (Fabia RS Rally2-2C Yacco RS) and Emmanuel Gascou (Fabia RS Rally2-AMD Motorsport) the second stage of the Rally Terre de Cardabelles was shaping up to be decisive.
Emmanuel Gascou took the lead before the last two stages of the rally, with a 0,7 second lead over the leader of the French Championship.
Laurent Pellier made a big impact on SS9 to gain an 8-second advantage over Emmanuel Gascou. Under pressure, Pellier maintained his momentum and finished the rally with a scratch. After his French Junior Championship title in 2015, Laurent Pellier won the French Gravel Rally Championship title, while Kévin Bronner was crowned French Co-Driver Gravel Rally Champion.
