Third in the 2024 French Rally Cup Final (Nice) and also third in the Rally Last year's Terre de Vaucluse winner, Louis Constant, has revealed his ambitions for the 2026 season. An unusual program awaits the young man from southeastern France, who will be heading to Italy to participate in the CIRT, the French National Gravel Championship. "So happy to be able to announce something after a long break, with my friend Maxime Martini by my side: a duo already well-established in the past," he posted this afternoon on his social media, confirming at the same time the identity of his co-driver for his return to full-time competition. Martini notably won the 2021 Antibes Côte d'Azur Rally in the French National Championship alongside Nicolas Ciamin in a... Alpine A110 RGT. For this new chapter, Louis Constant will be driving a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 under the MS Munaretto structure and will start his season next week at the Rally Città di Foligno, the first round of the season which will also feature Lancia Corse drivers Yohan Rossel and Nikolay Gryazin, as well as the current leader of the WRC3 World Rally Championship, Matteo Fontana.
Louis Constant on his way to new adventures
The 24-year-old driver had already had the opportunity to drive an older generation Czech car, notably at the 2023 Rallye du Var where he was in 3rd position at the start of the final stage before making a mistake. He had also driven a similar car, alongside Maxime Martini, at the beginning of his qualifying campaign for the 2024 Nice Final, securing three victories in Grasse, Roches Brunes, and Pays des Maures. In recent months, he had been driving a different car. Hyundai Given the i20N Rally2 he was competing in and his top speed demonstrated in the final round of the 2025 French Gravel Rally Championship, everything suggests he could legitimately thrive in this new environment. He won't be the only Frenchman competing in Italy this season, as Benjamin Boulenc and Chloé Barozzi-Gauze, former winners of the Clio Trophy France Gravel (2024) and winners of the 2025 GR Rally Cup, will also have a Toyota Official GR Yaris Rally2 for a 100% Italian program.
