France from rally All eyes are obviously on northern France this weekend, as that's where the French Asphalt Rally Championship kicks off. However, other events are taking place in France this weekend and will count towards the French Rally Cup, whose final will be held in Remiremont in the Vosges mountains next October. Here's the schedule you can expect…

Vallon de Marcillac Rally (N): Pelamourgues – Pouget as local heroes

Considered one of the most beautiful rallies in France, the Rallye du Vallon de Marcillac, as usual, attracts all the attention in the Aveyron region. At the start, the overwhelming favorites are obviously locals Arthur Pelamourgues and Bastien Pouget, who are taking advantage of the opportunity to prepare for their upcoming international competitions. This will be their first time there in a top-category car, a Hyundai i20N Rally2, prepared as usual by Fun Meca Sport. In this "ARVM 2026", the Aveyron drivers will have to keep an eye on several multiple winners also entered: Jean-Michel Da Cunha – Bastien Dumas (Citroën C3 Rally2) and Eric Rousset – Christophe Sauce (Citroën C4 WRC) are also among the winning customers, as are Ayrton Lechartier – Marine Maye (Citroën C3 Rally2). 89 crews are entered in the Modern Rally.

Courgette Rally (N): Popular success for this first edition

Who would have thought they'd one day be able to try and win the "real" Courgette Rally? That's the slightly crazy challenge taken on by the ASA Guyenne-Villeneuvois, which is organizing the event's first edition this year. The term "Courgette Rally" is often used to describe modest rallies without high stakes, but this time there will be something more, as it's a national rally with a coefficient of 2 for qualifying for the Final. Another unique aspect of the rally is its condensed format, taking place in a single day, as the crews will start this Saturday, March 28th, and finish the rally at night. At the start of the event, several competitors could easily aim for victory, such as Jordan Berfa – Chloé Thomas (Hyundai i20N R5), Jérémy Puech – Bastien Le Queau (Škoda Fabia Rally2 Evo) or Frédéric Meurant – Kévin Aumenier (Škoda Fabia R5) to name just a few.

Spring Rally (R): Popular success for this first edition

A key event at the end of winter in the Grand-Est Motorsport League, the Spring Rally will also be a popular gathering in Remomeix in the Vosges mountains. The Mourey family will be well represented there, with Steve sporting the #1 on the doors of his Citroën C3 Rally2 and co-driven by Madlyn Brice, while Maxime will compete in a Škoda Fabia R5 with Jonathan Sponem as his co-driver, wearing the number 3. Dominique Rebout and Thierry Salva (Citroën C3 Rally2) will also be contenders to watch, and judging by the entry list, there should be some fierce competition at all levels. The rally will take place entirely on Sunday, March 29th.
