Penalized by a puncture at the start of the rally, Pellier limited the damage with provisional second place at midday. The driver of the Hyundai raised the tone in the last three special stages of the day and returned to Courthezon as leader with a 26,9 second lead over Sarrazin.
Charles Munster (i20 N Rally2) completes the provisional podium less than 10 seconds behind Sarrazin.
Pierre Ragues (Fabia RS Rally2-Racing Services Yacco) is just off the podium ahead of Léo Rossel (C3 Rally2-PH Sport by Minerva Oil), who came without pressure and co-driven by Lucie Baud.
