Faced with the GT+ cars that are intruding into the Rally2 class, Eric Camilli (i20 N Rally2-2C Competition) made a good start to the second leg. At the wheel of a Hyundai Camilli, who performed well, halved his gap during the three special stages held this morning. The Nice native came back to within 1,4 seconds of Bonato.
Victory will therefore be decided in the final loop and the second passage in Bessé-sur-Braye (28,98 km) will undoubtedly be decisive, as will the tire strategy.
Under threat from the GT+, Raphaël Astier (A110 GT-P-CHL Sport Auto) and Anthony Cosson (Porsche 992 Rally GT), author of two scratchs this morning, Hugo Margaillan (i20 N Rally2-CHL Sport Auto) remains on the provisional podium after SS 10.
The Hyundai driver could take advantage of the Astier-Cosson match for victory in two-wheel drive to stay in the Top 3.
After his puncture at the start of rally, Pablo Sarrazin (C3 Rally2-Sarrazin Motorsport-Iron Lynx) has to work hard. He is in sixth place ahead of Mattéo Chatillon (Fabia RS Rally2) who is new to his Skoda.
In the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup, Romain di Fante (Corsa Rally4) avoided the pitfalls to take the lead in the "Cup" ahead of Mattéo Codaccioni (208 Rally4).
