Iron Lynx will be assisted in this new adventure by the team of rally Sarrazin Motorsport, led by the former World Championship driverEndurance, the World Rally Championship, Formula E and Formula 1, Stéphane Sarrazin. An association which takes on its full meaning since the Frenchman knows Andrea Piccini well, the Team Principal of the transalpine team, after years together in car.

« The association of the Iron Lynx and Iron Dames rally project with Sarrazin Motorsport is a source of great pride and I am honored by the choice of Deborah Mayer to place her trust in us, confides the Frenchman. I also reconnect with Andrea Piccini with whom I shared great moments in F3000 and in F1 (at Minardi. Editor’s note). Together, we share the same values in motor racing and sport in general. This is a fantastic opportunity for the company which allows us to continue to support and develop young drivers to reach the highest level. »

The Italian team will count in its ranks the double French Land Rally champion, Jean-Baptiste Franceschi (27 years old). His co-pilot has yet to be determined. The second driver announced is the promising Réhane Gany (22 years old). He will be associated with Franck Le Floch. In the pink Iron Dames car, we will find Sarah Rumeau, 2022 French women's champion, with Julie Amblard on her right. The three cars will also be entered in the French Terrestrial Rally Championship.

« I am very happy to be able to join this Iron Dames project, it is a very important moment in my career, rejoices Sarah Rumeau. It’s an honor and an incredible opportunity to be its first representatives in rallying. I can’t wait to start getting ready and getting to know the whole family. Finally, I would like to thank Deborah Mayer for her trust and support. »

« I am very happy to open this new chapter in the exciting world of rallying and to welcome Sarah and Julie to the Iron Dames family, says Deborah Mayer, founder of the Iron Dames program. After endurance, Formula 4, karting and equestrian sports, the Iron Dames project continues its development by giving more and more women the opportunity to evolve and shine in sports whose beauty is to fight on equal terms with men. With their passion and determination to reach the highest level in their discipline, Sarah and Julie adhere to the spirit and values of the project. We are delighted to benefit from the expertise and know-how of Stéphane Sarrazin and his teams. This is the guarantee for our drivers to race in the best possible conditions. We are all committed to helping them realize their dreams. »

The 2024 French Rally Championship will begin from March 14 to 16 with the Rally du Touquet No Calais. The season on Earth will begin from April 5 to 7 in Causses.
