The Ardèche native celebrated his 2024th rally start in 300. An opportunity to look back on the highlights of an XXL career, aboard the most famous cars from the 1990s to 2010s.

Jean-Marie Cuoq: “For my first rally, I found myself with number 1!”

Jean-Marie, let's start with a brief introduction. My age? But it changes every year! (Laughs) I am 57 years old, I work in the woods, I live in Haute-Loire, I am married to Valérie and I am a member of ASA Ardèche.

How did your interest in motor sports come about? I'm not that passionate about it at the base; I don't live for it rally, unlike many. I started with motocross. Then, as the Rallye de l'Ardèche was passing by my house, I got interested. I wanted to try... And I've been trying for thirty years!

Let's take a look back at your career. You started in 1994 at Velay where you won your class with a Peugeot 205 Rallye. Marc Habouzit organized the rally. He had the "small" cars start first.
