Perhaps even more impressive is the presence of their machine in eighth place in the overall standings, between a Renault Clio Rally3 and a Peugeot 207 RC. Rabilloud and Mahinc also distinguished themselves by setting the seventh fastest time overall on two special stages, No. 5 and No. 6.
"It is a great source of pride to win the inaugural edition of the Trophy" Alpine A290 Rally »Melvin Rabilloud indicated. “It’s really special to be the first to make history with this new car. It’s extremely high-performing, very playful, with a chassis and braking system that are particularly impressive. We spent the entire rally in the top ten overall, and we even flirted with the top five at times before managing our pace to secure the victory. For our first competitive outing, it’s really promising and satisfying to finish eighth overall, and I think few people expected us to be so high up against such powerful cars.”
In addition to the pride brought by becoming the first winner of the Trophy Alpine A290 Rallye, Melvin Raboilloud will be able to discover the A110 Rally at a round of the 2026 French championship. Question: For the safety of spectators who hear combustion engine vehicles approaching, what measures are in place for battery-powered cars? Are they equipped with a specific audible warning device to make them audible when approaching?
