Terre de Vaucluse: Emil Lindholm: “I have many things to discover”

How did this idea come about?

It was the 2C Competition team with whom I have been racing for several months who suggested that we line up in Vaucluse and Var. Hyundai was also interested.

Did you hesitate a lot?

Not really ! I found it to be a great opportunity. The offseason would have been very long without it. I also feel that we never spend enough time in the car. You have to be able to accumulate the kilometers to progress. I ended up only competing in 3 gravel rallies with the Hyundai.

What do you know about the French championship?

I know that Finns have already come to your country and that it was not easy. When you face competitors who know the roads and are on their terrain, it's always complicated. I expect to find a good level in front of me, with riders who have ridden all year with their mount.

Wouldn’t this be your very first race in France?

(He thinks for a moment) That's actually true. When the Tour de Corse was on the calendar, it was too early for me. So I will indeed be making my debut with you. I have a lot of things to learn and among them there is this very particular recognition system. It will be a nice challenge to have to go through the stages with the race car while taking notes. I don't yet know if in the proposed breakdown we, Reeta and I, will have the time to watch the videos to validate what we have noted as we usually do in WRC2.
