Rumors had been circulating for several weeks that the nine-time World Rally Champion would be attending the Rallye du Var (November 28-29) have now been officially confirmed.

There will indeed be life after Mont Blanc 2024 in France. Sébastien Loeb, co-driven by his partner Laurène Godey, will be at the start of the final round of the 2025 FFSA French Rally Championship on November 28th and 29th near Sainte-Maxime, driving theAlpine The A110 GT+ in which he had triumphed in Haute-Savoie, still prepared by Ludovic Godard. Loeb, who had also won the Rally Having driven the Chablais earlier this year in the Dieppe car, he will therefore enjoy a little high-speed fun before focusing on the Dakar 2026.

The love affair between the Boss and the Rallye du Var goes way back. On several occasions in the past, Sébastien Loeb came to close out his sporting seasons there, both at the wheel of various Citroëns and during his time there. HyundaiIt was also with the Korean manufacturer that he last participated in 2019, as is often the case, and this year he secured a victory. That edition was shortened by one stage and marked by terrible weather that struck the region. Let's not forget that in 2017, Loeb was in contention for the win with Daniel Elena as his co-driver in the... Peugeot 306 Maxi before it experienced mechanical problems in the penultimate special stage of the rally.

While the playing field of the Rallye du Var is, on paper, not the most suitable for theAlpine In the A110 GT+, there's no doubt that Sébastien Loeb will prepare for this event with the utmost care and a strong desire to perform well. In the 2-Wheel Drive category, he will notably be reunited with one of his former teammates, Cédric Robert, for whom the Rallye du Var will be his final outing in the French Rally Championship. A fitting way to conclude the 2025 CFR, which, as usual, should welcome several other prestigious guests for the occasion.
