In Taninges (Haute-Savoie), scene of the shakedown of rally Mont-Blanc Morzine Thursday September 4, one question was on everyone's lips: Sébastien Loeb Will he win this weekend? Since the announcement, at the beginning of July, of his presence at the 6th round of the French Rally Championship (CFR), what's more at the wheel of a Alpine A110 GT+ potentially capable of taking the man from Haguenau to the top, it had to be admitted that a wind of madness was blowing over the discipline.

It's not every day that the nine-time world champion performs on the CFR stage. The last time, in fact, was in Morzine. To celebrate the twentieth anniversary of his last participation in the Haute-Savoie classic, Loeb had seen things on a grand scale in 2021: he came with his Peugeot 306 Maxi and his long-time co-driver, Daniel Elena, to give his wheel a driving lesson. If the mechanics had prevented the duo from getting on the podium, their performances had relegated everything to second place. And what if, this time, Sébastien Loeb succeeded in the unthinkable by overthrowing all the big names in the French rally?
