Rallye du Var, 2nd stage: Bonato as leader, Camilli as chaser

Yoann Bonato (Citroën C3 Rally2/CHL) ended the day as he started it, leading the rally of the Var. Which was not the case at midday since Léo Rossel (Citroën C3 Rally2/PH Sport) had moved into first position before getting trapped in SS10 and losing more than 14 minutes. Meanwhile, Bonato took all the scratches this Saturday afternoon. Éric Camilli (Citroën C3 Rally2/PH Sport) is now 2nd, 15 seconds behind. Louis Constant brought his Fabia Rally2 back in 3rd position at the Sainte-Maxime parc ferme this Saturday evening. While Magnou was trapped in the last passage of Collobrières.

In 2WD, Cédric Robert confirms his status as leader ahead of Ludovic Godard (Alpine A110/PH Sport), leader in Alpine Elf Rally Trophy.

Anthony Fotia has given himself a little margin at the front of the Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup.

Xavier Quinsac leads the Michelin Amateurs Trophy. For the final prize, Ludo Jeudy's minor accident should allow Styve Juif to win. For this the Franc-Comtois must finish in the 10 of the category, he is 5th this Saturday evening.

The declarations:

Yoann Bonato (Citroën C3 Rally2/CHL) : “We had a good afternoon, we had fun. I hope we pleased the spectators too, there were a lot of people. We made the right choice of tires this afternoon. For tomorrow, we have a little head start but not that much. We have to stay focused”

Léo Rossel (Citroën C3 Rally2/PH Sport) : “The score was good but the car escaped from behind me. We did like in the Dakar, we repaired in the special. It's important for us to finish the championship tomorrow, for our partners and to gain experience.

Éric Camilli (Citroën C3 Rally2/PH Sport) : “2nd at 15 seconds for a Var rally is not bad. We made the right choice of tires this morning and came back to it, but we made the wrong choice this afternoon and lost some again. But Son could have lost a lot more…”

Cedric Robert (Alpine A110/Bonneton HDG) : " Everything is fine. We’re having a lot of fun”

Louis Constant (Fabia Rally2) : “It was an interesting day despite some mechanical problems. We remember the positive, we didn’t do anything stupid, we have to be wise tomorrow”

Ludovic Godard (Alpine A110/PH Sport) : “I rode well today, even at night, but I had a small leak so I was confident in the last one”

Xavier Quinsac : “Top at all levels”

Anthony Fotia (208) : “It was hot today, Lucas Darmezin set a big pace behind. We've adjusted the car, it's going in the right direction."

Jewish Styve: " It's difficult. We had a great afternoon, I loved the night stages. Tomorrow, we must not die and stay focused. »
