Guest on the 50th anniversary show of Automoto on TF1, Sébastien Loeb had the pleasure of being one of the protagonists. In a sequence celebrating the success of French motorsport, the nine-time World Rally Champion was invited to emulate one of the great names in the discipline and renowned for his driving tricks, notably his famous 360, Jean Ragnotti.
Automoto therefore asked the Alsatian to reproduce the "pirouettes" of Monsieur 360 with the little twist of bringing Jean-Pierre Gagick with him, in addition to being rated by Bruce Jouanny and Anthony Beltoise. A challenge that Sébastien Loeb took on with great joy.
After a first attempt with almost a 540°, noted with a double zero from Bruce Jouanny and Anthony Beltoise, the Tricolore set off again for a round. I have to keep [foot on] the accelerator pedal because otherwise, when I disengage the clutch, the engine turns off, " he says. No problem. This time, he handled it perfectly, convincing the judges, and to the great delight of his passenger. "If they don't give us 10/10, they're crooks! (laughs)." Bad luck, the bad-faith gentlemen, as Jean-Pierre Ragick nicknamed them, gave him a 3,5, obviously jokingly.
Finally, he managed to bring them together with a third and final attempt, once again masterfully executed and almost without surprise. Quite simply, Sébastien Loeb.
