Ott Tänak Will he add a fifth victory in Estonia to his list of achievements on July 20? The Estonian has already won his home event four times, but only once in the World Rally Championship (2020). Before that, he had two victories in 2018 and 2019, when the Rally Estonia did not belong to any championship, while in 2014 it was within the framework of the European Championship (ERC) that he had signed his first victory.

The native of Kärla will thus be at the start of the eighth round of the season, where he will try to lead the Hyundai to victory after the six inaugural successes of Toyota, divided between Elfyn Evans, Kalle Rovanperä and Sébastien OgierThe Frenchman will not be competing in a fifth consecutive rally after his victories in Portugal and Sardinia, as well as his second place in the Canary Islands. The Gapençais will compete in the Acropolis Rally (Greece) before taking a little rest to enjoy his family. "My son is worth more than a world title," he slipped to Self after his victory in Sardinia.

The Toyota armada will not be stripped of its strength, however, as Elfyn Evans, the championship leader, will obviously be present alongside double world champion Kalle Rovanperä. Takamoto Katsuta and Sami Pajari complete an ambitious quartet. Facing them, Hyundai will line up its three i20s with its world champions Ott Tänak and Thierry Neuville, as well as French Adrien fourmaux, the only Frenchman in the running in Rally1 in the absence of Sébastien Ogier.

The former team of the Northerner, M-Sport, arrives with three Ford Pumas: two for the regular starters, Grégoire Münster and Josh McErlean, and one for the Latvian freelancer Martins Sesks. No Jourdan Serderidis is on the program: the Greek gentleman driver is also taking a little rest.

Furthermore, there will be no French to follow in Rally2: the Rossel brothers and their compatriots are missing out. It is worth noting the presence of the duo Arthur Pelamourgues – Bastien Pouget at the wheel of a Renault Clio Rally3. With Corentin Silvestre, co-driver of Turkish driver Kerem Kazaz in a Ford Fiesta Rally3, and the pairing of Adrien Fourmaux and Alexandre Coria at Hyundai, they are the only French drivers registered for the Estonian Rally.
