Canary Islands Rally – Ogier and Landais in control

Sébastien Ogier and Vincent Landais not only secured their thirteenth WRC victory together, but they also demonstrated that they remain the undisputed kings of the sport. Conversely, Oliver Solberg and Elliott Edmondson once again cracked under pressure, letting slip valuable points that were within their grasp and allowing Elfyn Evans and Scott Martin to extend their championship lead.

Canary Islands Rally – Ogier and Landais in control

A battle of titans. That's how we could sum up what they delivered. Sébastien Ogier and Oliver Solberg in the Canary Islands, although the ending of this blockbuster was cut short just before the finish line (see The Decisive Moment). Because even though Oliver Solberg once again missed his opportunity with a zero score, it must be emphasized that he was the only one capable of competing with the nine-time world champion, from the beginning to almost the end of this 50th edition of the Rally from the Canary Islands, the second contested in WRC. "He's the best in the world, he's my idol, it's incredible to fight with tenths of a second."
