Elfyn Evans, Jon Armstrong and Romet Jürgenson are expected to compete in the Grampian Forest Rally next August.

One year before Great Britain's return to the WRC calendar, the Grampian Forest Rally will serve as a full-scale test session. Indeed, the event, which counts towards the British Championship, is expected to heavily influence the future Rally Scotland. As such, a host of prestigious guests are anticipated.

Earlier this year, confirmation was given that a new rally was going to be integrated into the calendar of WRC Next year, the Scottish Rally. Great Britain's last appearance in the World Rally Championship was in 2019 in Wales, an event won by Ott Tanak, then pilot ToyotaThis is sure to lift the spirits of an entire region passionate about motorsport. Next August will see the Grampian Forest Rally, an event that should greatly inspire the upcoming Rally Scotland and will take place a week after the Rally Finland (August 7th and 8th). Indeed, the route of this new World Rally Championship event should theoretically follow a good portion of the Grampian Forest Rally, and it is therefore quite natural that it should attract drivers and teams competing in the WRC. In this regard, our colleagues at DirtFish revealed some enticing names of participants on Thursday, June 11th. We learned that Elfyn Evans, Jon Armstrong, and Romet Jürgenson will be taking part.

Evans, Armstrong, Jürgenson… Are these the first names already to fill the WRC line-ups in 2027?

Does this already give us some indication of the short-term future of these three boys in the World Rally Championship?
