Tell us what winning the Safari means to you!

It's a special event in the championship. A bit like the Wales Rally (disappeared from the calendar after 2019. Editor's note), Finland and Monte-Carlo. As for the latter, we really need to manage to add it to our list of achievements one day!

What made the difference?

We announced that this would be the most extreme Safari since 2021, and we weren't wrong. Added to this were very difficult conditions, especially on Saturday. In such unusual circumstances, it was important to maintain a margin of opportunity, even if it's not always easy. When it rained, we couldn't even keep the car in a straight line! It's a matter of judgment, but in such a challenge, you also need a bit of luck. You never know what's going to happen.

Didn't that stop you from getting a flat tire and having a mechanical problem on Sunday that could have cost you dearly?

The line is always thin, but that's often the way it is, whatever the challenge.

Do you think Safari deserves its place on the calendar?

We don't need to have five like that (laughs), but I think it's important that such an event is on our agenda. It would just be great if we could have an extra day to do the reconnaissance so that we're not completely wiped out when it's time to start.

You're doing a good job for the championship...

We can be satisfied with our start to the season. However, I haven't done the totals yet. It's far too early in the year to draw any conclusions. There are so many races left that it means nothing.
