Young Eliott Delecour will participate in his second Monte Carlo Rally next week (January 22-25) and will be, for the first time on this scale, driving a Rally2 class car. While he has already driven similar vehicles, he will be at the start of the Monegasque classic in a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2 entered by the Italian Delta team, a car he will be driving for the first time. Earlier this week, the youngest son of the 1993 World Rally Championship runner-up took the opportunity to officially unveil the livery his car will sport. "I am extremely pleased to announce my participation in the Rally "Monte Carlo for the second consecutive year," he took the opportunity to remind everyone of the young man seen in 2025 on numerous events, particularly in the French Rally Championship, where his participations have not failed to arouse interest.
Eliott Delecour: already a promising start
Last year, young Eliott had already made a name for himself at the Monte Carlo Rally. Driving an Opel Corsa Rally4 for the Pit Stop team, he won the RC4 class, beating much more experienced drivers. Admittedly, with the support of his parents, François and Priscille, who provided invaluable advice and carefully corrected pace notes, he managed to navigate the challenges of this difficult rally. Subsequently, his appearances in SMRC4 didn't always go as planned, despite a podium finish at the Vosges Grand Est Rally, but he did manage to win the Michelin Amateur Trophy in Antibes and the overall victory at the Roches Brunes Rally. As a reminder, seven French drivers will be competing in the Rally2 class at the Monte Carlo Rally, and there's every reason to hope that some of them will perform well. While Yohan Rossel and Eric Camilli will try to pull the wagon, young, ambitious talents could shine behind them.
