Rally Sweden – Hyundai still struggling…

While the i20 Rally1s were not left behind by the Yaris in terms of pure performance, that did not prevent the South Korean team from being beaten for the second time in as many races. Crew errors, reliability concerns and a lack of adaptation to the Hankook tyres helped give the Japanese team another one-two finish.

Rally Sweden – Hyundai still struggling…

Last year, at the same time of the season, Hyundai had two wins in two races. Thierry Neuville had triumphed in Monte Carlo and Esapekka Lappi in Sweden. These successes had not prevented the South Korean brand from losing the Constructors' title at the end of the year, but it had forced Toyota to ask Sébastien Ogier to work overtime… The situation is completely reversed as the line-up made up of Cyril Abiteboul appeared stronger than Toyota's when Ogier is not there. So far, however, it has not been enough. In Sweden, the i20s have too quickly let the Yaris occupy the top positions without being able to change the hierarchy.

It will probably take a few days to Adrien fourmaux and Alex Coria to forget this Swedish nightmare. Everything had started very well with two best times on

For a team that loses the 2024 championship in the last race due to a mistake and starts 2025 with two big setbacks, the 2 championship could be very sad.
