This is undoubtedly one of the biggest changes for the 2026 season of WRC which will begin next week (January 22-25) in Monte Carlo. M-Sport has just unveiled the livery that the Ford Puma Rally1 cars entered by the British team will sport. Two things immediately stand out: firstly, the absence of Red Bull on the car and, on the other hand, stronger nods to M-Sport's partners for this season: the Motorsport Ireland Rally Academy and SafetyCulture, which also becomes the most visible entity on the car. In fact, last year's indigo, blue, and purple colors have been abandoned, and the color palette is closer to that of the Ford Focus and Fiesta WRC cars of the 2000s and 2010s, although, of course, the presence of the two Irish drivers supported by their national team plays a major role in this livery choice. The return of Red Bull to the car of Sébastien OgierThat, too, certainly plays a part.

Two drivers with clear ambitions at M-Sport

As a reminder, two fellow countrymen will be competing for M-Sport starting next week: Josh McErlean, who already participated in the WRC last year with Malcolm Wilson's team, and Jon Armstrong, who will be making his debut in the top category. Armstrong is no stranger to the sport, being, among other things, the reigning European Rally Championship runner-up. He has already had the opportunity to drive the car in recent days during testing; the only problem was that Armstrong made a slight mistake, and the footage has already gone viral on social media. As for Josh McErlean, he too has been preparing for Monte Carlo properly, putting in numerous kilometers with the team in recent days. The two men will rejoin their teammates this Saturday in Monaco for the presentation of the 2026 WRC season and will then meet up again in Gap for the opening round of the season. Rally Montecarlo.
