General classification Rally Monte-Carlo 2024 after SS11:

  • The inaugural round of the 2024 season of WRC does not lack spice! While the halfway mark has been reached, it is impossible to say exactly who will win, or even to know the order of the podium.
  • Starting in the lead this Saturday morning, Elfyn Evans (Toyota) has continued to concede ground to Thierry Neuville (Hyundai) and Sébastien Ogier (Toyota). What was supposed to happen, happened: the Welshman lost first place to the Belgian. In his defense, Evans suffered a hybrid system problem on SS10.
  • Thierry Neuville was perfect; in the space of three stages, he took around twenty seconds from Ogier! The record holder for victories at Monte-Carlo (9) was unhappy with his passage in SS9, where he drove 18 seconds slower than Neuville, a gulf at this level!
  • Ott Tänak (Hyundai) and Adrien fourmaux (M-Sport Ford) are riding alone, in 4th and 5th place respectively. Rookie Grégoire Munster (M-Sport Ford) gained a place following an exit from Andreas Mikkelsen (Hyundai) in SS9.
  • In WRC2, the fight turns to the advantage of the Russian (under Bulgarian license) Nikolay Gryazin (Citroën). He continued to gain a lead over the astonishing Spaniard Pepe Lopez (Skoda) while the Frenchman Yohan Rossel (Citroën) was unable to keep up with the pace. Sami Pajari (Toyota) lost half a minute following a puncture.
  • Oliver Solberg (Skoda) will not drive again for the day following a double puncture in SS10. Petter Solberg's son only had a spare wheel in his car.
  • The Saturday afternoon loop will begin at 14:05 p.m. and can be followed on AUTOhebdo live text.
