After a second day of Rally Despite a difficult Sweden, marked by two intense heat waves during SS3, Oliver Solberg raised the bar on Saturday, setting the fastest time in the last special stage of the morning loop.

Friday, although punctuated by faster times on SS4 and SS8, lacked consistency for the Swede, who opened the stages as the World Championship leader following his victory at the Monte Carlo Rally. A difficult first experience on snow. I'm here to gain experience. Solberg confided to AUTO's microphonehebdo present on site. It was a new experience opening the car on snow. I need to focus on that. »

Starting sixth on Saturday, Oliver Solberg looked more comfortable than the day before. It's better. When there's more ice, it's easier. In the first stage this morning, there was a bit of snow, but it was okay. I'm doing my best without taking too many risks. He said. We're fourth overall now, which is better than sixth yesterday. I'm not thinking too much about the championship, it's my first year. Yesterday, I made a mistake that dropped me to fourth instead of third. »

The local favorite thus climbs back up to fourth place in the overall standings, after a disappointing sixth-place finish the previous day. His objective is clear: the podium. To achieve this, he will have to unseat Sami Pajari, who has been firmly in third place since yesterday. It will be difficult to go and get Sami [Pajari], he concedes. But we'll try. "Oliver Solberg will therefore aim to overtake his teammate on the second loop of Saturday in order to continue his comeback and stay in the race.
