Sébastien Ogier and Oliver Solberg are inseparable in the Canary Islands. This Saturday, after the combined results of the three special stages run during the afternoon, only 1,5 seconds separated the two duo from Toyotaneck and neck for the final victory of this fifth event of the 2026 season.

In the overall standings after the 14th special stage of this rallyThe top two are separated by just under four seconds. This millimeter-by-millimeter duel will be decided this Sunday during Super Sunday, as the competition is nearly 22 seconds behind for Elfyn Evans (Toyota), and already close to a minute behind for Sami Pajari (Toyota). In other words, there's the Japanese manufacturer and then there's everyone else this weekend…

« I struggled a bit in the middle of the last special stage of the day. admits the nine-time world champion. The rear tires were on their last legs. That cost us a bit of time, but I managed to drive a little cleaner. It seems to have paid off towards the end of the stage where we made up some of the lost ground.
