Katsuta returns to the service park, now 16,1 seconds behind Elfyn Evans, who took the rally lead on the first stage of the morning. Third-placed Sami Pajari is closing in, 12,9 seconds behind second place, now held by Katsuta, and the Finn could well finish the day in second place if the four afternoon stages unfold in the same way.
Sixth after Friday, Oliver Solberg is understandably on a mission, determined to get back on the podium if possible. He was able to quickly dispose of both Hyundai in front of him (Fourmaux (and Lappi) from the very first stage, the championship leader saw his teammate Pajari battling tooth and nail, and the gap between the two men was now 24 seconds. The three stages from this morning will be run again this afternoon, with the Umeå Super Special to finish.
After a difficult Friday, Mārtiņš Sesks bounced back with his Ford Puma on Saturday, notably setting the fastest time on SS10, despite being the first to tackle all the stages!
