While the actors of WRC are in the midst of snowy battles in Sweden, the organizers of the Rally Kenyan officials have just unveiled the entry list for the third round of the World Rally Championship, which will take place from March 12th to 15th. Forty-six crews will therefore start this 2026 edition, with the reigning World Champions leading the charge. Sébastien Ogier And Vincent Landais will indeed be at the start of the event, and will thus benefit from an advantageous starting position: having skipped Sweden, the French duo will start a little further back than their main rivals, and we know that in Kenya, this can be useful. In total, 10 cars will compete in the top category and, unlike at Monte Carlo, Takamoto Katsuta will score points for the World Rally Championship for Manufacturers. ToyotaPajari, meanwhile, will score points in Team WRT2.
In WRC2, there are some interesting things to come at the Safari Rally.
Several drivers will also be making their WRC2 debuts this season. Among them are Robert Virves, the Estonian who recently confirmed his plans with Toksport; Gus Greensmith in a Toyota GR Yaris Rally2; Paraguayan Fabrizio Zaldivar in a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2; and, more surprisingly, Andreas Mikkelsen, also driving a Toksport Škoda Fabia RS. The Norwegian driver's last WRC appearance was in 2024, when he competed in Rally1 Hybrid with HyundaiJust as in 2026, he was part of a three-driver rotation with Dani Sordo and Esapekka Lappi, the latter having won Rally Sweden. This will also not be Mikkelsen's first time competing for the Czech Republic, having already spent several seasons with Škoda at Toksport. As a reminder, the rally will feature a modified route compared to previous years, as its historic Nairobi stage will not take place this year.
