The season of WRC is certainly already launched with a first rally One round has already taken place, and a second is fast approaching, but it's still difficult to know exactly who will be driving where and with which car this season in the WRC feeder series. In recent days, several drivers have announced their plans, giving us a slightly clearer picture. We already know that Yohan Rossel and Nikolay Gryazin, driving for Lancia Corse, are title contenders. But, let's be honest, we were still looking for rivals who could truly challenge them until recently. The current championship leader, Léo Rossel, still doesn't know what's in store for him for the rest of the season, especially following his resounding victory at Monte Carlo, and the same goes for fellow Alès native Pablo Sarrazin. On the French side, however, we can be proud to see Mattéo Chatillon and Eliott Delecour back in Sweden: Chatillon will participate in six more WRC2 rallies this season, while Delecour has yet to comment on his future.
A flurry of announcements in recent days
This week, Robert Virves announced his participation in WRC2 with Toksport, driving a Škoda Fabia RS Rally2. The Estonian driver is returning for another season after his victory on home soil last year; he will participate in eight events, the first of which will be in Kenya in March.

Chris Ingram, for his part, posted an enigmatic yet evocative Story on his Instagram account, revealing the dates of the Croatia, Canary Islands, and Portugal rallies. Three more rounds then for the former European Champion, who had previously competed in Monte Carlo.
Speaking of former European Champions, let's also take a look at Mille Johansson: the reigning Junior World Champion, he will benefit, like Romet Jürgenson before him, from a program of at least four rallies in a Ford Fiesta Rally2, starting in Sweden, on home soil, and continuing in Portugal, Croatia, and Finland. As such, Jürgenson will be competing in a full season, as previously announced.
The Toyota entity was well represented
At ToyotaThere will also be plenty of action. Jari-Matti Latvala recently took control of the Printsport team, which won the last two titles with Sami Pajari and Oliver Solberg. Unsurprisingly, Yuki Yamamoto, the Japanese driver supported by Toyota, will be competing in many events this season. Other Toyotas will also be present for the remainder of the season: Alejandro Cachón's entry, for example, will be seen in Sweden (outside the WRC2 championship) and then in Croatia and the Canary Islands (on tarmac).

Paraguayan Diego Dominguez will also be driving a GR Yaris Rally2. He will obviously be competing on his home turf, but first in Kenya, then in the Canary Islands, Japan, Greece, Chile and Saudi Arabia.

Nordic players in action in Sweden
In Sweden, several drivers will be competing in the 2026 WRC2 World Championship. We're obviously thinking of the Nordic drivers: Teemu Suninen, making his return to the World Rally Championship, Roope Korhonen, Mikko Heikkilä, Lauri Joona, and Tuukka Kauppinen, the young Finnish talent who will be participating in his first WRC2 season. Let's not forget Roberto Daprá and Arthur Pelamourgues, who finished on the podium at the Monte Carlo Rally with Léo Rossel, who, at least in Daprá's case, is expected to be present this season. As for the driver from Aveyron, we can only wish him the best.
