Leading the very first special of the week from Thursday afternoon, Sébastien Ogier finished the first day of this Rally from Central Europe WRC in the shoes of the provisional leader. Conceding only a tenth to the Finn Kalle Rovanperä at the end of SS2, the French driver is ideally positioned to widen his gap after the Rally of Chile.
This Friday, six special stages are on the program, and will help clarify a still very tight standings. Quite logically, just behind Sébastien Ogier who had made an ideal start, Kalle Rovanperä seems to want to finish his rally adventure in style, he who had already shown great qualities before making a mistake in Chile. The double world champion having chosen to turn to the circuit by the end of the season could indeed become one of the key players of this event. In the same way, as in South America, Adrien fourmaux is in third place, and hopes to keep its place on this provisional podium.
