The organizers of Rally from Estonia, which is making its return to the calendar WRC after its absence in 2024, unveiled the first part of its program and some new features during a press conference on Wednesday, June 18. Scheduled for July 17 to 20, the Estonian event, held on gravel, aims to mark its 15th anniversary and its fifth appearance in the WRC.
Thus, as in previous years, the rally will be based in Tartu and special stages will be held in the neighboring municipalities of Otepää, Elva, Kanepi, Kastre, Peipsiääre and Mustvee.
Among the highlights expected in 2025 in Estonia: an opening Super Special Stage near the National Museum, the return of iconic jumps like Alaküla on the Otepää stage and Kitsehüpped on the Kanepi stage. Not to mention a brand-new stage at Hellenurme. And finally, a convivial final Power Stage at Kääriku, with celebrations on the podium by the lake.
At home in Estonia, Tänak and Järveoja will want to shine
obviously, Ott Tänak, 2019 world rally champion, and his co-driver Martin Järveoja will be keen to shine at home in a month. “I want to win every rally, but it would be really special to stand on the top step here. Come and support us on the special stages.”, Järveoja launches on the official WRC website.
"We offer much more than just special stages. It's a true festival of motorsport. This 15th anniversary rally should be the one where every member of our team can congratulate themselves and say that it was truly a success.", jointly assure Urmo Aava and Tarmo Hõbe, directors of the Estonian Rally.
“We’ve worked hard in the forest, combining large arenas with dedicated areas for the most passionate fans. And in some areas, the terrain allows spectators to get closer than ever before.”, conclude the two organizers.
