Brandished as one of the main solutions to shake up the world championship, the transformation of events has not really taken place. For 2025, movements in this direction are announced, but they need to be confirmed.

Habits in WRC have a hard life. While there was a clear desire to change the division of the events, it appears that this is not so easy to implement. However, this was one of the paths that the WRC promoter wanted to take to make the discipline more interesting. The origin of this idea goes back to Portugal 2023.
