In Saint-Jean-du-Gard, a Cévennes town of 2,500 inhabitants, eyes are sparkling after these few days dedicated to motorsport. It was, as they say, a village festival last weekend, as the second round of the French Hill Climb Championship took place on its legendary Col Saint-Pierre, considered one of the most beautiful hill climb courses in Europe. Every year, the hearts of the locals beat as one once spring arrives, and nobody there misses it.
