The World Rally Championship (WRC) needs you! This Thursday, February 8, the International Automobile Federation (FIA) put online a 5 to 10 minute questionnaire intended for fans of the WRC.
>>The questionnaire to complete<
The survey is conducted by an independent body, and is the first concrete evidence from the WRC task force launched by David Richards and Robert Reid. The boss of Prodrive and the former world champion co-driver alongside Richard Burns in 2001 have the mission to work on the future of the discipline, plagued by a growing lack of interest from manufacturers and the general public. .
The questionnaire asks the Internet user to give their vision of the WRC, and what the competition should look like in the near future. Would you like to see more or less technologically advanced cars? More or less power than currently? Less powerful, but with more manufacturers officially involved?
The format of the WRC rounds is also discussed. Should we shorten events to avoid getting bored? Or on the contrary, bring back a dose of endurance which was the particularity of the discipline when it began in the last century?
The questionnaire is open until the end of February. The results of the survey will then be presented at an upcoming FIA World Motorsport Council later this year.
